Play Cafe Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Daily Operations: Direct and oversee all aspects of café and play space operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment.

• Team Management: Supervise, train, and support café associates and play leaders to maintain excellent service and engagement standards.

• Program & Event Development: Assist in planning and implementing play-based programs, themed activities, and community events that align with Grow Café’s mission.

• Customer Service Excellence: Greet families and provide warm, professional, and friendly service that ensures every guest feels valued.

• Café Operations: Prepare coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks; manage product inventory; and maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area.

• Safety & Supervision: Oversee the play area, ensuring children’s safety and age-appropriate engagement at all times.

• Partnership Coordination: Build and maintain partnerships with local educators, vendors, and community partners to support programming and growth.

• Event Support: Coordinate and assist with hosting birthday parties and special events (at least once per month).

• Compliance & Cleanliness: Follow Grow Café’s policies and health/safety procedures, ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting environment for families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, early education, or child-focused environments required.

• Strong leadership and program management skills.

• Prior customer service, hospitality, or café/barista experience preferred.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

• Passion for creating joyful experiences for children and families.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, people-centered setting.

• Availability to work part-time, including some weekends and events.
